You will want to let your employees know about the move as early as possible. Your employees have their work commute built into their daily schedule. A change in location can affect things like getting their children to school in the morning. Letting staff know as early as possible will give them ample time to make the necessary adjustments to accommodate the change.
Donate Unwanted Items
Decide what items are unneeded, and donate them to a local non-profit business that will benefit from reselling them. Most of these businesses will pick up the items for you, and supply you with a receipt for tax purposes. If an item is broken or soiled, throw it out. Only donate things that are still usable.
Update Your Contact Information
Do not forget to go online and update your website and social media accounts to reflect your pending move. There are a lot of things going on during a move, and this is something that is often overlooked by many businesses come moving time.

And last, but definitely not least, you will want to hire a moving company for the move. Your staff was hired to do a job, and presumably, “moving the company” was not in their job description.
